Vandenberg airmen return from six-month deployment

VANDENBERG AFB, Calif. – Twenty-eight Airmen from Vandenberg returned from six-month deployments July 31.

The group included 17 members of the 30th Security Forces Squadron, who were deployed to Mosul, Iraq, and 11 Airmen from the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron, who served at various locations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Family members, teammates and wing leadership gathered at Santa Maria Airport to welcome them home and pass on a “job well done.” The crowd waved American flags and held signs with slogans, such as “We are Proud of You” and “Welcome Home Daddy.”
